Construction is in on going at the Mercy Othello Plaza project. It will consist of two, 5 story apartment buildings with one level of parking below. The project will provide 108 apartments consisting of, one, two, and three bedroom units of affordable housing for the Mercy Housing Group. Project Completion expected in Spring of 2017.

Construction Outlook:
In an effort to minimize construction activities in the surrounding neighborhood Walsh Construction with the approval of Seattle Department of Transportation will be utilizing the Alley between S. Myrtle St. and S. Willow St. at the extent of the Mercy Othello Plaza Project property boundaries for construction deliveries and material loading.

All Access to existing driveways from the alley will be left open for resident’s access. The Alley may be intermittently closed to through traffic from the hours of 7:00Am to 6:00Pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays for the duration of the project.

Wood framing is now completed.

Scaffolding is being removed around the West Bldg. Exposing the completed exterior! The windows and cladding are being installed behind the scaffold screen on the East Bldg. Interior Drywall is started in the East Building. With the cabinets flooring and interior finishes going in on the West Bldg.

Safety for the surrounding neighborhood as well as our site construction is our number one priority, and we encourage feedback from our community and neighbors. It is our intention to keep the community and our neighbors up to date through these monthly newsletters informing of upcoming activities, including schedule, road/sidewalk closures and expectations of construction noise.
